Nagana…Nagana…

DCT RR Logo…Nagana be Muschamp or Spurrier.  In less than four hours Thursday evening, two different Alabama television stations reported Auburn was close to hiring Will Muschamp (FOX10 in Mobile) and Steve Spurrier (WSFA in Montgomery) as its next head coach.

Shortly after the FOX10 report, Muschamp denied its truth to both AuburnSports.com and Phillip Marshall of AuburnUndercover.

The Ol' Ball Coach denies a connection between him and the vacant AU head coach position, despite the zaniest of unsubstantiated rumors, that include one claim he was in Auburn Thursday "visiting Coach Tuberville."

Fri. morning, Spurrier denied the report from WSFA, which is magnificently still hanging on by the skin of its decrepit credibility:

Auburn University MAY be close to offering its head coaching job, and that person COULD be South Carolina’s Steve Spurrier.

O.J. Simpson MAY not have killed those people, and he COULD be going to heaven.

Muschamp hammered the last nail into his rumor’s coffin when he released an official statement Friday.

So who will be Auburn’s next head coach?  Don’t say we didn’t tell you so.

Auburn University MAY be on the verge of going Brad-Pitt-in-“Seven” and just saying SCREW IT! WE’RE DROPPING FIVE MILLION DOLLARS ON A FOOTBALL COACH!!! or it COULD just continue this hilarious odyssey into the bowels of fail.
